The “Eugenio Montale” Italian School is an Italian international school founded in 1982 by a group of Italian parents who had just arrived from Italy. The need to create an Italian school was the desire of an entire community, made up of representative figures, government institutions, organizations and associations, multinational and Italian-Brazilian companies. The School has given life to a novel project that emphasizes the Italian curriculum, combined with the Brazilian curriculum, promoting a multicultural and diversified environment. The School is managed by a board, as it has been since its foundation. The managing body, a non-profit association, is governed by founding and honorary members and by contributing members (parents) who form a traditional management committee, with the option for a representative of the Alumni Association to be on the Committee. The close relationship with the families is a fundamental and distinguishing element of the education offered.
