The Italian Cultural Institute of Bratislava, as the official body of the Italian State and Cultural Office of the Embassy of Italy, aims to promote and improve awareness of the Italian language and culture in Slovakia through the organization of cultural events to promote the circulation of ideas, arts and sciences.
The Italian Cultural Institute in Bratislava also offers the following services to the Slovak public:
- Courses in Italian language and culture;
- CILS exams of the University for Foreigners of Siena, to obtain the certificate of Italian as a foreign language;
- a library open to members for consultation and loan of books, CDs, DVDs, magazines and Italian newspapers;
- information and documentation on Italian culture.
For cultural events, the Institute works in collaboration with important cultural and state institutions:
