The Italian Cultural Institute of Bucharest, the official institution of the Italian State, aims to promote and disseminate the Italian language and culture in Romania through the organization of cultural events to promote the circulation of ideas, arts and sciences.
Services
The Italian Cultural Institute in Bucharest offers the following services to the Romanian public:
- Italian language courses held by qualified Romanian and native Italian teachers
- two annual exam sessions to obtain the certificate of Italian as a foreign language
- an Italian library for the consultation and loan of Italian books, magazines and newspapers
- information and documentation on Italian culture
Collaborations
For concerts, some art exhibitions and major events, the Institute works in collaboration with local art institutions and museums, including the National “”George Enescu”” Museum, the National Art Museum of Romania, the Figurative Artists Union, the Writers’ Union, the Romanian Cultural Institute, the Romanian Athenaeum, the “I.L.Caragiale” National Theatre, the Nottara Theatre, the Odeon Theatre and the Lucia Sturdza Bulandra Theatre.
