The Italian Cultural Institute (IIC) in Jakarta is an overseas office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) dedicated to the promotion of Italian culture in Indonesia.
The main activities of the Institute include: organizing and supporting exhibitions, events and festivals in collaboration with the main local institutions; developing academic exchanges; incentives towards the publication of Italian books; promoting the Italian language.
The Italian Cultural Institute of Jakarta offers the following services to the public:
- courses in Italian language and culture held by qualified teachers
- exam venue for the Certificate of Italian Language (CILS) and Certificate of Teaching Italian as a Foreign Language (DITALS).
- an Italian library open to students and members of the Institute for the consultation and loan of books, journals and magazines.
The information office provides general information on Italian cultural and social life.
The Institute organizes and promotes meetings, exhibitions, symposia and concerts, both at the Institute and elsewhere.
