The Italian Cultural Institute of Lyon, the Cultural Office of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, has the task of promoting and improving awareness of the Italian language and culture in its area of competence in France.
One of its main aims is organizing language courses and holding events dedicated to the various areas of the Italian cultural life.
Services
The Institute offers the following services to the public:
- Italian language courses held by qualified native Italian teachers
- three annual exam sessions for the Certificate of Italian Language (CELI) (University for Foreigners of Perugia)
- a library/media library open to students and members of the Institute for the consultation and loan of books, DVDs and audio books
- information and documentation on Italy
