The Italian Cultural Institute of Ljubljana, which was officially inaugurated in early 2001, offers the Slovenian public the following services:
- courses in Italian language and culture held by qualified native Italian teachers
- two annual exam sessions to obtain the certificate of Italian as a foreign language
- an Italian library open to students and library members for the consultation and loan of Italian books, CDs, DVDs, magazines, journals and newspapers
- Information on studying and language courses in Italy.
Collaborations
For concerts, some art exhibitions and for major events, the Institute works in collaboration with prestigious local art institutions and museums, such as the Narodna Galerija, the Narodni Muzej, the Mestni Muzej, MAO (Museum of Architecture and Design), the Ljubljana Festival, the Maribor Theatre Festival, the Slovenska Kinoteka, the University of Ljubljana, the University of Primorska, etc.
The Italian Cultural Institute has been a member of EUNIC Slovenia since November 2007.
