The Italian Cultural Institute in Warsaw, an official body of the Italian State, aims to promote and improve awareness of the Italian language and culture in Poland through the organization of cultural events to promote the circulation of ideas, arts and sciences.
Services
The Italian Cultural Institute in Warsaw offers the following services to the Polish public:
- Italian language and culture courses held by qualified native Italian teachers;
- two annual exam sessions to obtain the Certificate of Italian as a foreign language;
- an Italian library open to students and members for the consultation and loan of Italian books, CDs, DVDs, magazines and newspapers;
- information and documentation on Italian culture
Collaborations
For concerts, some art exhibitions and for wider-reaching events, the Institute works in collaboration with: local art institutions and museums, such as the Royal Castle , the National Philharmonic, the Great National Opera House, the Palace of Culture and Sciences and in general numerous institutions dependent on the Polish Ministry of Culture and the Municipal Authority of Warsaw.
The Italian Cultural Institute in Warsaw periodically works in collaboration with with cultural institutions of other cities in Poland in its area of competence (Łódź, Lublin, Poznań, Gdańsk and Toruń).
