The Italian Cultural Institute in Zurich is a foreign office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. dedicated to promoting the Italian language and culture in Switzerland through the organization and support of events and the provision of cultural services.
The Institute works actively in collaboration with festivals, theatres, cinemas, museums, the various local authorities responsible for culture and Swiss universities to promote the circulation and exchange of ideas, arts and sciences.
It offers information and guidance on courses in Italian language and culture in Switzerland and Italy, the opportunities to study at Italian universities and the study grants available.
It is also the contact for applications for grants to support the translation of Italian works into German and French, as well as to support Italian language professorships, and for all initiatives that foster intercultural dialogue between the two countries.
