Carthage: the City and its Necropolises – Research, Training and Development

The project renews the collaboration at the highest level between Sapienza University of Rome and the Institut National du Patrimoine for the exploration of Carthage, focusing on the necropolis of Dermech, at the Baths of Antoninus, and of Barca, on the Colline de l’Odéon, dating back to the Phoenician, Punic and Roman periods, up to the layers of the oldest Phoenician foundation. The two organisations work together on the valorisation of the monuments discovered and the training of Tunisian archaeologists.
