The temple of Mut dates back to the 7th century BC. C. and is one of the most important archaeological testimonies of the 25th Egyptian dynasty. The Central Institute for Restoration, in agreement with Sudan’s National Corporation of Antiquities and Museums, has been conducting missions since 2014 aimed at restoring the monument’s mural paintings and architectural components, also carrying out archaeological surveys, scientific investigations and training activities for Sudanese technical experts.
