‘Anthropology workshop in Chile’.
The anthropological research project, started in 2017 and led by Prof. Francesca Dechlich, aims to trace the traditions that have led to the widespread diffusion of phytotherapy in Chile and to the vast distribution chain of herbal products. The project will study the many conceptions of care underlying the different methods and the modern needs to which these conceptions respond. The research will also be extended to the anthropology of sustainable tourism and the search for traditional spirituality by the middle and upper classes.
