The “Leonardo da Vinci” School was founded in Sorengo in 1978 to offer young people from the Canton of Ticino the possibility of attending a school based on “international” criteria. Since its foundation, the school has chosen to follow in the footprints of the great international colleges, combining a solid academic teaching with social, cultural and sports education. The Foreign Languages Liceo (Liceo Linguistico) has received accreditation for the EsaBac, a study programme created through a bilateral agreement between Italy and France, so the school awards the double Italian-French EsaBac diploma. The students are mainly Italian, children of entrepreneurs and professionals who live in Switzerland, but there is a proportion of Swiss and international students who choose the school for the culturally rich and well-structured education, as well as for the academic qualification awarded, which has legal value around the world.
Order and rank: Primary School, Lower Secondary School, Upper Secondary School (Liceo Linguistico/specializing in Foreign Languages – EsaBac programme, Liceo Scientifico/specializing in Sciences)
