The Archaeological Project of Hattusa (UNESCO world heritage site), led by Prof. Leopoldo Repola, was established in 2014 under an Italian-German-Turkish agreement of cooperation for the application of innovative Italian technologies (in the fields of IT, geoarchaeological and physical diagnostic techniques) to this archaeological complex, with the purpose of documenting and studying the major monuments found there and planning new forms of monitoring and museum display.
