‘Italian Ethnological Mission in Sub-Saharan Africa’.
The project, active since 2006 and led by Prof. Roberto Beneduce, involves: 1) the analysis of land-related conflicts, ethnic-religious violence and migratory processes caused by desertification and climate crisis;
2) the transformations of religious imaginaries (churches of healing) and local medical knowledge: study of possible forms of collaboration with biomedicine in the field of mental health and childhood diseases; research in archives and oral history on accusations of witchcraft and customary law in the resolution of conflicts.
