‘Multidisciplinary historical research in the Island of Rab’.

Since 2005, the Universities of Padova and Zagreb and the Croatian Ministry of Culture have been developing a series of archaeological studies on the island of Rab, combining archaeological excavations and the study of historical landscapes, territory and architecture. In 2015, the excavation began of some key areas for understanding the dynamics of urban development of the old centre of Rab, from the Roman era to today, highlighting the importance of the island in trade with Italy and the Mediterranean. The project is led by Prof. Alexandra Chavarria Arnau.
