‘Phoinike and the surrounding area: Excavations, Research and Restoration’.

The Italian Archaeological Project in Phoinike was launched in 2000, uled by Prof. Giuseppe Lepore’s and has always been co-funded by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI). The archaeological site of Phoinike is located in the south of Albania and it consists of a city, with its surrounding area, which existed from the Hellenistic age to the Middle Ages. The activities include archaeological excavations, restoration, training, protection and enhancement of the site. The site, currently the Archaeological Park, is equipped and open to the public.
