‘Archaeological Research and Restitution of the Baal Hammon-Saturno Sanctuary in Althiburos (Tunisia)’.

The multidisciplinary archaeological investigations, begun in 2006 under the guidance of Prof. Massimo Botto, focus on the Punic-Roman sanctuary of Baal Hammon-Saturno in Althiburos, with the study and publication of the materials recovered from the excavations. The project foresees the training of young researchers and the restoration and conservation of the site; use of innovative technologies for investigations, valorization and use of the archaeological area, including for the purposes of cultural tourism.
