‘Excavations and Archaeological Research in Karkemish and in the Gaziantep Region’.

The excavation and restoration campaigns in Karkemish (Karkamis Hoyuk, Gaziantep, Turkey) began in 2011 under the guidance of Prof. Nicolò Marchetti and involve: 1) extensive excavations in the acropolis, inner city and outer city. Topographic-photogrammetric and geophysical prospection of Karkemish;
2) maintenance of the Archaeological Park of Karkemish. Maintenance of the Tilmen Hoyuk Archaeological Park (Islahiye, Gaziantep);
3) publication of scientific reports on the excavations. Specialist training for local staff in the restoration and maintenance of archaeological sites.
