‘Multidisciplinary technologies for the study and conservation of Post Byzantine monasteries in Southern Albania’

The project, active since 2019 and led by Prof. Elena Gigliarelli, investigates the post-Byzantine monasteries of southern Albania, which constitute heritage of extraordinary value, currently under threat. The project seeks to support the study and safeguarding of three religious complexes, applying an integrated program that starts from historical-architectural research and develops with innovative 3D scanning and modelling technologies, georadar diagnostics, semantic HBIM platform for the conservation project. Courses are foreseen for local officials and experts.
