The 2nd edition of the ITmakES Art competition, organised by the Italian Cultural Institute of Madrid in collaboration with PhotoEspaña and CAMERA Centro Italiano per la Fotografia, dedicated this year to the figure of Pier Paolo Pasolini, on the occasion of the centenary of his birth, has come to a close.
Italian and Spanish photographers under 40 were invited to submit projects on the theme ‘The sacredness of the world: the gaze of P.P.Pasolini’ as part of Descubrimientos PhotoEspaña 2022. The jury, made up of Marialuisa Pappalardo, director of the Italian Cultural Institute of Madrid, María Pallás, representative of PhotoEspaña and Giangavino Pazzola, representative of CAMERA, Italian Centre for Photography, after viewing the portfolios of the six finalists, decreed the following winners:
Teresa Giannico (Italian nationality)
Laura San Segundo (Spanish nationality)
