From 1 December to 24 December the Italian Cultural Institute of St. Petersburg is making the retrospective of the director Marco Tullio Giordana available on the MyMovies platform.
Marco Tullio Giordana’s cinema always presents its own era, without making any choices or imposing pre-established themes. It is a cinema that ‘shows and does not tell’, that presents itself as a field of understanding and comparison, one capable of interweaving grand collective history with the minimal yet illustrative history of private events, to offer the viewer an opportunity to reflect and, if necessary, to form a judgement.
