On the occasion of its twenty-fifth anniversary, the Glatt&Verkehrt 2021 music festival presents a focus on Italy, in collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institute of Vienna.
Around forty musicians from every region of the Italy are taking part. From Maurizio Geri’s project ‘A Sud di Bella ciao’, to singer Luisa Cottifogli, artist in residence for the duration of the festival. The special event of the festival will be the encounter between the South Tyrolean Opas Diandl and the Canzoniere Grecanico Salentino from Puglia, up to the Sardinian jazz trumpeter Paolo Fresu, who will perform together with the Cuban pianist Omar Sosa.
