Il nuovo jazz italiano protagonista all'Edinburgh Jazz & Blues Festival con un ricco calendario di appuntamenti.

L’Istituto Italiano di Cultura di Edimburgo ha assicurato la partecipazione italiana all’importante festival di musica jazz Edinburgh Jazz & Blues Festival, composta da diverse iniziative complementari. Ha avuto grande successo la collaborazione con l’Associazione I-Jazz per la realizzazione del programma “Spark – a celebration of Italian Jazz”, una serie di 6 concerti di giovani musicisti selezionati da I-Jazz come esponenti di spicco della nuova generazione jazz, e della mostra fotografica “Jazz, the energy of the smile and friendship” realizzata dall’Associazione Fotografi Italiani di Jazz negli spazi di Valvona&Crolla per tutta la durata della manifestazione. Infine, per tutto il mese di luglio 2022, l’Istituto ha avuto il piacere di ospitare la residenza artistica del trombettista Daniele Raimondi per il progetto AIR in collaborazione con MIDJ – Musicisti Italiani di Jazz, che ha trovato spazio in numerosi concerti all’interno (e al di fuori) della programmazione del festival jazz, tra gli altri quelli con gli artisti scozzesi Konrad Wiszniewski e Matt Carmichael.

New Italian jazz stars at the Edinburgh Jazz & Blues Festival with a full calendar of events.

The Italian Cultural Institute of Edinburgh ensured the Italian participation in the important jazz music festival Edinburgh Jazz & Blues Festival, consisting of several complementary initiatives. The collaboration with the I-Jazz Association for the realisation of the programme ‘Spark – a celebration of Italian Jazz’, a series of 6 concerts by young musicians selected by I-Jazz as leading exponents of the new jazz generation, and the photographic exhibition ‘Jazz, the energy of the smile and friendship’ realised by the Association of Italian Jazz Photographers in the spaces of Valvona&Crolla for the entire duration of the event, was very successful. Lastly, for the entire month of July 2022, the Institute had the pleasure of hosting the artistic residency of trumpeter Daniele Raimondi for the AIR project in collaboration with MIDJ – Musicisti Italiani di Jazz, which featured numerous concerts within (and outside) the jazz festival programme, including those with Scottish artists Konrad Wiszniewski and Matt Carmichael.
