Italian-Croatian TransLab 2021

For 2021, the Italian Cultural Institute of Zagreb, in collaboration with the Association of Croatian Literary Translators, is organizing a workshop dedicated to the translation of contemporary poetry. There are ten dates during the year (with a break in the summer). Each meeting is led by a reference tutor (literary translator or poet) who guides the participants through the intricate paths of literary translation, stimulating them to find the best solutions. The final objective of the workshop is the publication of translations of Italian poems in Croatian literary magazines.

The TransLab project is open to all Italian-Croatian literary translators who may be interested and to students enrolled in the 2nd level of Italian language and translation courses ready to work on a project of translation from Italian to Croatian. In the event of a large number of applicants, the participants will be chosen on the basis of a short translation test. Participation is limited to 10 translators.
